AAA recognizes Lincoln for Safety AAA Southern New England honored the traffic-safety achievements of cities and towns throughout Connecticut, Massachusetts and Rhode Island. The Lincoln Police Department received a Gold Award for the quality of their safety and enforcement programs. Lincoln was also recognized for thirty-five years without a pedestrian fatality.  The awards were presented to Chief Kevin Mooney and Safety Officer Robert Gallo at the annual AAA Community Traffic Safety Awards luncheon.
