At the Special Town Meeting on December 2, 2023, the Town will vote on whether to approve an expansion of the Commons to add an additional 28 independent living units.  The plan calls for adding 52 new parking spaces.  Eleven of the units will be added to the Flint Building of which three will be affordable thereby keeping the affordability level at 25% so that all of the units in the Flint Building will continue to count on the Town's SHI.  This will add 11 new affordable units to the Town's SHI.
