Update on Interest & Penalties for 2nd Half Tax Bills as a result of the COVID19 Pandemic

In accordance with Chapter 53 of the Acts of 2020 and the Department of Revenue's Bulletin 2020-3

The Town of Lincoln Select Board voted the following:

  • To extend the 2nd half original due date for Real Estate and Personal Property tax bills to June 1, 2020, and
  • To waive interest/fees on bills paid after June 1, but before June 30, 2020.
*If paid on or after June 30th interest will accrue back to June 1st*

While Town Office's are closed you can pay your bill online, by mail or drop in the drop off box at the front of Town Office's facing Lincoln Road.
The Treasurer/Collector:
  • Serves as Custodian of Funds for all town monies
  • Attempts to maximize investment income
  • Ensures the payment of the town's bills to its creditors and payroll checks to its employees
  • Administers the town and school system benefits program
  • Manages all debt that has been authorized by vote of the Town Meeting
  • Ensures the timely collection of outstanding bills owed to the town
  • Manages the proper, timely mailing of all tax and water bills and an accurate accounting of all bills owed to the town
  • Protects the interests of the town by utilizing all means of enforcement in the collection of amounts owed to the town
