Volunteering

computer tutoringThe Lincoln Council on Aging depends on volunteers to provide its programs and services. Among our volunteer positions are:

Presenters and Facilitators

Do you have a skill, an interest, an expertise, a travelogue, a memoir, or something else to share? Would you like to be a speaker at the Lincoln Academy or present a workshop or lead a discussion group?

Drivers

We need people to drive elders to medical appointments, to shopping, and to the COA. You can be scheduled regularly or be a substitute. Where you drive and how often you drive is up to you.
Senior Dining

Senior Dining Volunteer

Would you like to help set up, clean up, or serve our Senior Dining meals? We need volunteers to help with this monthly event!

Computer Tutors

Can you help others learn to use a computer? We need people to assist those who need the basics as well as those who know how to use a computer but need to have a question answered.

Office Assistants

We depend on our volunteer receptionists to greet visitors, answer the phone, help schedule services, take sign ups, and many other tasks! You can work a half-day a week or every two weeks or be a substitute.

Meals on Wheels

Our Meals on Wheels drivers deliver meals to several Lincoln residents who cannot leave their homes.

Friendly Visitors

We need people who would be willing to spend an hour or two a week visiting those residents who have difficulty leaving their homes.

Collators

Come once a month to join others to fold the newsletter in preparation for mailing. This is a fun, social time that is also essential to the COA's operations.

And More!

If you would like to help out but aren't quite sure what you would like to do, but want to help, we would like to hear from you!
