MBTA

The MBTA Team is charged with exploring site MBTA improvements at Lincoln Station.

Lincoln Station is a passenger rail station on the MBTA Commuter Rail Fitchburg Line, located on Lincoln Road. There has been continuous commuter service to Lincoln since the station stop was established before 1850. A station building formerly stood on the outbound side.

The MBTA Team was appointed by SLPIC and is comprised of the following members:

• Lynn DeLisi

• Allen Vander Meulen

• Stacy Osur

The Team is staffed by the Planning and Land Use Department.

The Town has been awarded funding of $500,000 for the planning and design of the commuter rail facilities at Lincoln Station. Improvements might include ADA improvements, a raised platform to allow entry without stairs, provision of pedestrian shelters and seating, and relocating the inbound stop to the westerly side of Lincoln Road so that both the inbound and outbound stops are on the same side of the road.

Note: Bond Funding approved by the State but not released by the Executive Office for Administration and Finance as of this date (September 24, 2018)
