Senator Susan Fargo will hold office hours at Bemis Hall on Wednesday, July 9  from 1:00 to 2:30 PM.  Please stop in to have a cup of coffee with Susan and share your ideas, concerns, questions, etc.

Continuing for the summer:

Water Exercise - Monday, Wednesday, Friday at Healthpoint - 11:00 AM. 
                             $45 per month.

Fitness and Strength Training
- Tues. and Thurs.  - 1:00 PM. 
                             $3.00 per class.  Air-conditioned room.
Bowling - Mondays at 9:30 in Acton.  Call Mary Kjellander 259-8968.
Wii and Ping Pong - Available to play upon request.
Mah Jongg - Wednesdays at 1:00 PM.

SOCIAL AND HEALTH SERVICES AT THE COA

STAYING IN YOUR HOME  This 3-part series: Home Safety and Adaptive Equipment, Everything You Need to Know About Elder Care but Didn't Know Who to Ask, and Geriatric Care Management, has been on local cable and is available on DVD. Call Pam if you are interested in borrowing a DVD at 781-259-8811.

OUTREACH  The COA is currently offering an outreach program for Lincoln seniors, including daily telephone reassurance calls, friendly visiting, and shopping assistance.  If you or your family member could benefit from these services, or want to volunteer, please call Pam at the COA.

INFORMATION AND REFERRAL  The COA maintains a data base of individual and agency providers to assist you in your home. Call Pam at the COA for further information.

TRANSPORTATION  (for ages 60 and over) to medical and other appointments, COA activities, and shopping  is available by calling the COA at least two business days in advance. Donations to the Friends of the Lincoln COA are encouraged to help defray expenses.   

SHINE  (Serving Health Information Needs of Elders) Counselors are available for individual counseling regarding health insurance, medical bills, and long-term care needs. Call the COA for an appointment.

MEDICAL EQUIPMENT LOAN  Donated medical equipment is available at the COA including wheelchairs, walkers, canes, commodes, shower seats, etc.

CLINICS   Podiatry - monthly by appointment.
                   Blood Pressure - third Tuesday of every month at 9 AM
                   (except August).

HOME DELIVERED MEALS  Meals on Wheels is provided by Minuteman Senior Services, by calling 781-272-7177, and delivered by Lincoln volunteers.

FILE OF LIFE  Store your medical information within a refrigerator magnet or wallet cards for use in medical emergencies. 

EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE  A town fund is available to help Lincoln residents of all ages with financial emergencies of up to $500. Call Pam at the COA for further information or to make an appointment.

PROPERTY TAX WORK -OFF PROGRAM 
Work off up to $750 of your property taxes. Positions are available in town departments.
