Schedule for Garlic Mustard Pull Day

8:15-9:00 a.m. - Neighborhood leaders arrive to sign in and reconfirm their planned route, pick up any necessary equipment such as: safety vests, paper bags, work gloves, extra educational material, boot brushes, and survey etc.  We will also have Technu available in the event of exposure to poison ivy.

8:45 - A team will be dispatched to put out “Caution: Volunteers In Road” safety signs where necessary or requested by leaders.

9:00 - Pulling activity officially begins.
A team of at least two pick-up trucks will be making rounds to pick up filled bags and will re-supply with empty bags if needed.  Also, they should be taking pictures.  (Everybody should be taking pictures! Get your whole group together for a group shot.)

12:00 pm-Official Pull Ends.  People are encouraged to continue pulling for the rest of the month as they are able.  Leaders return to HQ with any supplies they had borrowed and to drop off completed survey/debrief.

A note on Disposal:
We will be trucking the GM to our invasive plant dump in north Lincoln where we will either tarp the pile under a dark brown tarp “cooking” it for two years or we will burn it in small batches.
