VETERANS’ SERVICES OFFICER
The Veterans’ Services Officer (VSO) is an advocate for Lincoln’s veterans and their dependents. The VSO assists veterans with questions they have about their state and federal military benefits and helps them apply for those benefits. These can include emergency financial or medical assistance programs for veterans in need, educational benefits, real estate tax abatements, employment and training opportunities, burial information, and innumerable other benefits.

Post 9/11 GI Bill: Effective Aug.1, 2009, this bill provides educational assistance to individuals who served on active duty on or after September 11, 2001. www.gibill.va.gov
Massachusetts Employment and Training Resources: Offers training in computer and job search skills, job listings, and career services. Veterans receive priority services. www.etrcc.com
