The Leaf Blower Study Group was formed from a warrant at Town Meeting 2013 stating that the Board of Selectmen appoint a working group to study noise and air pollution related to increasing use of leaf blowers for public and private property maintenance, to research alternatives, to study cost impacts to both public and private sectors, and to present findings and recommendations at Town Meeting 2014.
We are entering our 4th year of work, now under the guidance of the Conservation Commission.
Review our informational brochure here and become familiar with the problems caused by leaf blower use! More information can be found within the pages listed over on the left side of this page...

BOARD OF HEALTH STATEMENT
"Exposure to high intensity, episodic or long duration noise and air particulate and vapor dispersion from leaf blowers represents significant potential health hazards to our citizens. The Board of Health supports the Town of Lincoln Leaf Blower Study Group’s efforts to craft effective and economically sound approaches to mitigate those health risks."
