Campus Master Plan Deadline Extended

The Campus Master Planning Committee (CMPC) last week requested a one-month extension of their original deadline of December 31, 2015, of the Lincoln Board of Selectmen and the Lincoln School Committee in order to finalize their report. The request was approved by the Lincoln School Committee and the Board of Selectmen on Thursday, December 17th and Monday, December 21st, respectively, and the CMPC will now have until the end of January 2016 to finalize and submit their report.

Campus Master Planning Committee to Receive Draft Report

The public is invited to attend the Campus Master Planning Committee’s (CMPC) December 10th committee meeting at which Lerner Ladd & Bartels Architects (LLBA) will deliver the first draft of the Committee’s Report, due in its final form to the Town Selectmen and School Committee on December 31st, for committee comment. The report will represent six months of work undertaken by the CMPC and will reflect feedback received at five public gatherings, including Lincoln PTO Back-to-School Night, CMPC Public Forum, PTO Forum, Council on Aging Forum, and the State of the Town.

The meeting will take place at 7:00 pm in the Hartwell Multipurpose Room on the Ballfield Road Campus.

CMPC Charge

The Campus Master Plan Committee (CMPC) was formed jointly by the Board of Selectmen and the School Committee to help study the basic infrastructure and physical layout of the Ballfield Road campus to inform the planning for the contemplated school building and community center projects. The CMPC will have the data and analysis from several previous studies available as a resource and baseline.

A budget of $75,000 was approved at the 2015 Annual Town Meeting, under Article #33. The budget will enable the Committee to retain architectural, engineering and other consulting support of various disciplines. The Committee will organize its work in a manner that provides multiple opportunities for input from a diversity of town boards and residents.
