[ARCHIVED] Town of Lincoln Independence Day Activities 2016

7:45 - 8:15 am Registration for Firecracker Run ~ A 2.5 or 4 mile scenic run. Registration is $15 for adults and $10 for children 12 and under and includes a t-shirt. Register at the Town Offices on race day. Location: Town Offices

**Please note: Due to the road race and subsequent activities, Lincoln Rd will be closed to traffic from 8:30 am - 12:00 pm. Parade floats WILL be allowed to pass.

8:30 am Race Time, Musket Fire Start ~The top three finishers for each age group/gender will be recognized. Location: Town Offices

10:00 am Children’s Bike Parade ~ Location: Lincoln Road/Upland Field Road

10:30 am Declaration of Independence ~ Location: Town Offices

10:40 am Town of Lincoln July 4th Parade ~ With a feisty Presidential election on the horizon we thought this was a perfect time to remind residents that Lincoln has ALWAYS been great… and July 4th is a chance to show it! With greatness in mind, our Parade Marshall is outgoing Selectmen (and former Parks & Recreation Chairperson) Noah Eckhouse! Noah has guided the town for the past 6 years with wisdom, vision and creativity and this is our chance to honor his service! Parade participants should meet at the Lincoln Schools by 9:45 a.m. Location: Lincoln Road, from Ballfield Road to the Public Library.

11:30 am - 1:00 pm Boy Scout Cook Out ~ Location: Pierce House, Weston Rd

12:00 - 7:00 pm Town-Wide Swim ~ Location: Codman Pool on Ballfield Road

1:00 - 3:00 pm Pick Up Soccer ~ Lincoln Soccer is hosting a pickup soccer game! All ages and abilities, just bring your cleats! Location: Brooks Field, Ballfield Road

7:00 pm Concert, Barbeque and Fireworks ~ Parking is available in the Ballfield Road Campus for $20/car. Enjoy BBQ from Wildfire, ice cream and a performance from classic rock/pop/blues/funk band Soulidarity! Food is served at 7:00 pm and music starts at 7:30 p.m. Fireworks begin at approx. 9:15 pm. Concert and fireworks will be held in light rain, but in case of extreme weather, will be postponed to Tuesday, July 5th. Check www.Lincolnrec.com for updates.
