[ARCHIVED] Water Main Project Update – October 30, 2025

We want to update you on the final stages of this year's water main work and thank you for your continued patience with this important infrastructure project.

Since June, AD Paolini crews have been removing old water pipes and installing new water mains. Between now and mid-November, they will complete service connections to homes and town buildings, install fire hydrants along the new main, remove temporary water lines, and restore landscaping in affected areas.

Upcoming Road Closures: We are trying to complete most work with one-lane road closures to avoid the need for extensive detours. Detail officers and flaggers will manage alternating traffic through the work zone.

In order to complete the project a few days earlier, there will be at least one additional full road closure between the 5-Way Intersection and Upland Field Road for two days in the middle of next week. We will provide the exact days as soon as we can. We continue to encourage motorists to check project updates daily at www.lincolntown.org.

Looking Ahead: Please note that current paving is temporary. We have scheduled a comprehensive walkthrough of all trenchwork to identify any temporary paving that is not sufficient to support traffic through the winter months.

Phase 2 work along Lincoln Road will also resume in spring 2026 and will include milling and final paving of all trenches.

Join Us: We encourage residents to attend State of the Town Meeting this Saturday at 9:30 AM, where we'll share this update and answer your questions.

We deeply appreciate your patience and flexibility throughout this lengthy but critical project. Please continue to drive carefully through construction zones for the safety of our crews completing this essential work.
